Hi I'm Kate and this is my blogsite. After much soul searching I've decided to give up my classic website in favour of this blog format so I can stay more current with the images I'm showing. This is the place to hear about special announcements, view my most recent work and catch some sneak peeks. This site will have both professional photos from sessions and photos of my favourite models (my two daughters). So check back when you can for new posts and feel free to make any comments, I would love to hear from you.

So I figure I should give you a little background into who I am. First of all I'm NOT a writer. I am a lifestyle photographer based in Vancouver, BC. I shoot mostly on location whether that be outside or at your home. I use available light, this means that I prefer to use all natural light but if there's not enough available I have other sources. My shooting style is laid back and fun, I want to try to capture the true essence of my subjects not the portrait studio version.

A little about me. I worked as an art director in advertising for 12 years supervising too many photoshoots to count. I have two beautiful girls who keep me on my toes everyday. I hate having my photograph taken (ironic right?). I love every aspect of photography.

The Lovely Mrs. DesLauriers {vancouver's fine art maternity photographer}

So I figure I had to start somewhere with this blogging thing so why not with the very co-operative Mrs. DesLauriers. But I can't seem to get a grip on how to get type where I want it to go. Perhaps this is something that I will learn with time.

Mini Photo Sessions
One to Five People .............. $400
Six to Ten People .............. $450
Eleven or More People .............. please contact for a quote

Mini sessions are perfect for those people who want to capture some unique and special moments in a more condensed timespan that a full session. For the price of a haircut and colour you will have these moments in time captured for you to keep forever. All mini sessions include approximately 60 mins at a location of your choice and a CD of 20-40 high resolution images for you to print, blog, email and share to your hearts content. Full Photo Sessions
One to Five People .............. $600
Six to Ten People .............. $650

Photo sessions usually last anywhere from 90 mins to 2 hours. This amount of time allows for many poses in multiple locations and a chance to draw out the special qualities of the people being photographed. These sessions include a CD of 40-60 high resolution images for you to print, blog, email and share. Custom Prints
Although all images are provided to my clients in high resolution for them to print for themselves, some still prefer those special images to be handled by a high level professional lab. If this extra level of service is of interest to you please contact me for a list of available print sizes and prices.

Payment in full is requested at the initial session.
