It's always nice to get the perfect picture of two faces smiling into the camera. Great to hang on your wall right? But as a mother of two myself the photos I love the most are the ones of my kids at play. Capturing that moment in time of what they were really like at any given age is something to be truly treasured. And this brother and sister were willing to play, I had a great time with both of you!

I do so love little girls fashion. There are so many times that children show up for photo shoots wearing outfits that I find myself wondering if that might come in my size. Sadly the answer is no and I would be nowhere near as cute even if they did.

These three were no exception. Although I admit I couldn't pull off the super cute green citrus and sundress in the chocolate brown would be fantastic.

Being a photographer that prefers shooting outside while living in Vancouver during the winter months can be a bit challenging. For the last few weeks we have seen nothing but rain. And not the kind of drizzle that you can just work through but pouring rain. But thankfully four generations of lovely ladies in one photograph is a very good reason for the sun to come out. I credit you with making the sun shine.

It seems like only yesterday that I was taking newborn pictures of this little guy and his big brothers (here) and yet here he is walking around and a year old. Still being tormented by his older brothers though, nice to see that something don't change.

So on the last day of the Harmony Arts Festival Portraits by the Sea it decided to rain. Most people postpone due to rain as it is not ideal for pictures, but not this gang. Like true Vancouverites they braved the weather and we had a blast.

I'm excited to announce that the year I will participating in the Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver. I will the joining several other talented photographers in capturing your families in the Portraits by the Sea program. Each session will last 30 mins and includes 12 4x6 proofs for $150. The festival runs from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 9 2009.

I will be available for shoots with the festival at the following times:

This year for the first time I'm offering Portraits in the Park. These sessions will be 10 to 15 minutes in duration each for quick but beautiful portraits. I'm offering two prices based on the number of people participating in the shoot. $50 will get you a portrait of up to three people. For a group of four or five the cost is $75. For any larger groups I recommend either my mini shoot or a full shoot full details here. Each portrait in the park session includes three high resolution digital files from which you can print, email and share to your hearts content. Mini sessions are perfect for those people who want to capture some unique and special moments in a more condensed timespan that a full session. For the price of a haircut and colour you will have these moments in time captured for you to keep forever. All mini sessions include approximately 60 mins at a location of your choice and a CD of 20-40 high resolution images for you to print, blog, email and share to your hearts content. Photo sessions usually last anywhere from 90 mins to 2 hours.
